How we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit or order from MEYÜ.

Who we are

MEYÜ is a trading name of Meyu Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16584975). Our registered office is at 15 Barford Close, London NW4 4XG. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, and we're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC012902.

Information we collect

When you place an order through our website, we collect the name and email address you give at checkout, so we can confirm and hand over your order. We also store what you ordered, your chosen pickup date and time, and any notes you add, for example allergy information.
We never see or store your card details. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe.
If you accept cookies, we also collect anonymised analytics about how visitors use our site, through Google Analytics.

How we use it

We use your order information to prepare, confirm, and hand over your order, and to deal with any refund or cancellation requests. Where you've consented to it, we use analytics data to understand how people use the site and improve it. We may also need to keep order records for our own accounting and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with:
  • Stripe, to process your payment securely
  • Supabase, who host the database that stores your order
  • Google, for analytics, only if you've accepted cookies
We don't sell your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes, typically up to 6 years, in line with HMRC requirements. Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings.

Cookies

We only set cookies that aren't strictly necessary, like Google Analytics, after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Analytics cookies use anonymised IP addresses. If you decline, none of these cookies are set.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
  • ask what personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • ask us to restrict or object to certain uses
  • ask for a copy of your data in a portable format

Keeping your information safe

Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our own systems. Order data is stored in a database only our own systems can access. Our live order screen for staff is protected by a PIN.

Children

Our website and service are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last changed.
